His case remains unsolved. A $150,000 reward is now being offered for information.

The Province is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the homicide of 30-year-old Isaac Downey.
On January 19, 2025, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gunshots at about 3 a.m. near Lahey Road and Clarence Street in Dartmouth. They found a man and woman with gunshot wounds. Mr. Downey died after being taken to hospital.
Police are investigating the death as a homicide and say people may have information they have not shared with police.
“You may have the missing piece that investigators need,” said Scott Armstrong, Attorney General and Minister of Justice. “I urge anyone with details about what happened to Mr. Downey to contact the rewards program and help bring justice and closure for his family.”
Anyone with information regarding this crime should call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090. People who come forward with information must provide their name and contact information and may be called to testify in court. All calls will be recorded.
