The African United Baptist Association (AUBA) of Nova Scotia has unveiled a newly redesigned website as preparations continue for its 173rd Annual Conference, taking place August 14–16, 2026, in Beechville.
According to AUBA, the redesigned website offers a fresh look, improved navigation, and mobile-friendly access while maintaining the organization’s longstanding mission of supporting churches and communities across Nova Scotia.
The new website includes information about member churches, annual sessions, news and updates, and other resources intended to help members stay connected throughout the year.
The website launch comes as AUBA prepares to welcome delegates and visitors to its annual conference, which will be hosted by Beechville United Baptist Church under the theme:
“Excel: Rooted in Faith, Rising in Purpose.”
The conference will begin Friday evening, August 14, with a bowling night at Spryfield Bowlarama, followed by the Annual Business Session and Youth Service on Saturday. Worship services are scheduled for Sunday, August 16.
This year’s conference will feature guest speakers Rev. Andrew Doucette of EBC: The Meeting Place and Dr. Mark Jefferson of Acadia Divinity College. Sis. Natalia El-moukhtafi of East Preston United Baptist Church will serve as guest soloist, while Rev. Andrea Anderson of East Preston United Baptist Church will serve as AUBA Moderator.
AUBA has also announced a Church Bowling Night & Challenge, inviting churches to form teams for a friendly competition on the opening night of the conference. Registration is available through the conference registration process.
Founded in 1854, the African United Baptist Association is one of the oldest Black organizations in Nova Scotia, representing a longstanding network of African Nova Scotian Baptist churches with a history of spiritual leadership, community development, and advocacy spanning more than 170 years.
