North Preston Day Is Breaking News – Even When the Mainstream Won’t Say So

A split-screen promotional graphic for North Preston Day on July 19, 2025, features two identical event posters side by side. The left side is bordered by the Pan-African flag (red, black, and green), while the right side is bordered by the Nova Scotia flag (blue and white). The posters, presented by Women With a Vision, list event highlights including breakfast at 8 AM, a parade at 296 Simmonds Road, non-stop music, BBQ, bouncy castles, and fireworks. The slogan reads: “WE BACK OUTSIDE FAM.” The design includes vibrant swirls and photos of elders and children in colorful outfits. Contact info is included at the bottom.

This year, Women With A Vision, the community-rooted organization behind the event, is once again inviting national, provincial, and local outlets to attend the 18th Annual North Preston Day & Parade, set to begin on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in North Preston – on unceded Mi’kmaw territory.
