Our Stories, Our Experiences with Rajean Willis is a four-part web series hosted by social worker and community connector Rajean Willis, exploring social issues, wellness and resilience within African Nova Scotian and Black communities.

Presented as part of TD presents African Heritage Month at Halifax Public Libraries, the series was filmed at Halifax Central Library and features Black guests from across the Maritimes in one-on-one interviews and panel discussions.

The four episodes move from examining difficult experiences toward healing and community strength. Race-Based Trauma explores the meaning and effects of race-based trauma; Exploring the Complexities of Grief and Loss looks at grief, loss and their particular impacts within Black communities; Be The Healing focuses on wellness, coping and healing; and For Us, By Us considers Black self-sustainability, entrepreneurship, community building and carrying forward the legacy of previous generations.

Willis described the series as an effort to raise awareness while empowering Black people to recognize their ability not only to experience adversity, but to continue striving through it.
