Base Talks Podcast is a video podcast hosted by Robert “Base” Brown and built around candid, long-form conversations with people from the community.
Working from the premise of putting everything “on the table,” Brown speaks with guests about their lives, experiences and perspectives without limiting the series to a single subject. Conversations explore themes including personal growth, struggle, purpose, relationships, faith, community and overcoming adversity, as well as social and justice-related issues.
The series has featured numerous Black Nova Scotian guests and provides an informal, conversational platform where people can tell their stories at considerably greater length than conventional media interviews typically allow.
